So I’ve followed the work of this dude Marek Rutkowski on BGG for a couple of years now — maybe you have too. He’s the guy who designs minimalist board game inspired artwork. He’s brilliant, and his work really captures some of the most unique and creative elements of some of my favorite games.

That’s his piece for Twilight Struggle, a brilliant Cold War simulation and currently the number one ranked game on the Geek.
And here’s the ancient classic Go.

Obviously, he’s brilliant.
…Tigris & Euprates…

Now, to the non-board-gamer, these probably just look like minimalist generic pop-art. The more discerning eye will notice, however, that Marek incorporates specific features of each game, especially winning conditions. Guess what — three-peat: brilliant.
Anyway, he’s got a webby-store online now at: http://www.mronthewall.com/

He is planted in Poland, so shipping to the US is a flat $10 — kinda steep, but whatever. He’s been kind enough to offer his work free to the public for years, and you can still print your own. I just think he deserves a little compensation. Incidentally, he also does superheroes. Awesome.
